Monolith panels: pure design serving functionality

Monolith panels: pure design serving functionality
In 2012, the European leader in sanitary technology has decided to expand its Monolith range. Geberit Monolith is a concept of functional and aesthetic sanitary modules designed for the concealed connection of standard fixtures.

Clad in glass and brushed aluminium, Geberit Monolith is now available for floor-standing or wall-hung toilets, Geberit AquaClean shower toilets, hand rinse basins or washbasins.

Monolith, the story of a best-seller
In 2010, a particularly innovative sanitary solution got people talking: the Geberit Monolith panel. An extra-flat toilet panel that conceals behind its surface all the technology of a toilet (water supply, cistern and waste outlet). Practical, compact and highly designed, Monolith caused a sensation and became an alternative to conventional toilets, particularly for small renovation projects.

Monolith, the choice of glass

If the Monolith panel breaks with the usual codes of sanitary design, it is to reinvent them all the better. Made of durable contemporary materials - glass and aluminium finishes - it transforms the bathroom into an infinitely modern space. The glass surface has been designed to combine perfectly with ceramic fixtures. Monolith glass adds a touch of refinement to the product's "silhouette" and, as the panel's two designers Daniel Iranyi and Thomas Stäubli point out, ?glass is hygienic, easy to work with and gives a feeling of depth thanks to the reflection effect.?

Clean and quick installation

One of the major strengths of the Monolith panel is the ease and speed of installation. Its "all-in-one" concept makes it possible to connect all existing installations without major works. Water supply and waste connections are easy to make, the walls remain intact and everything is installed in half a day. This concentrate of technology is appreciated by installers, whose work is made easier, as well as by private customers, who benefit from a perfect renovation without additional work (no tiling, painting, etc.).

Always dual flush!
Geberit wouldn't be Geberit if its products were not designed to respect natural resources. This is the case with the Monolith panel, which features a dual-flush cistern, essential for saving water and thus contributing to environmental efforts.

Chocolate, the new colour
In addition to the existing colours, Water Green, White and Black, Geberit now offers its Monolith panel in Chocolate. A deep colour that blends discreetly into the toilet area to offer even more choice in the stylistic direction of the room.

Monolith, wall-hung toilet version, a logical extension

Until now, the Monolith panel was available for floor-standing toilets. The concept remained to be extended to wall-hung toilets, Geberit's core business.

This has now been done and the concept loses none of its refined aesthetic. The wall-hung toilet gives the whole an airy look, with a fully embraced futuristic tone. With Monolith for wall-hung toilets, design joins utility for greater hygiene.

Monolith, to be adapted to your wishes

With Monolith, Geberit has seen more than a solution for toilets. The manufacturer is indeed developing a concept for an entire universe - the bathroom as a whole. This is why this year 2012, Geberit is launching Monolith panels for washbasins.

All the strengths of the washbasin panel

Because having a bathroom module that serves as a hand rinse basin, a support for make-up and toiletries, and can also include towel rails and drawers (optional), while harmonising with the rest of the bathroom for an ultra-design result... is really very practical! With this vision of a bathroom with coordinated elements, Geberit wants to make Monolith the premium "ready-to-use" sanitary solution line.

The concept remains the same: a glass panel that brings together all the functions and all the sanitary technology in a single unit.

1-Le extra-flat panel is pre-drilled to allow easy installation of concealed taps. The supply and waste elements are invisible but easily accessible. Installing the Monolith washbasin is easy, quick and leaves the space clean.

2-Les layout options are numerous: the invisible drawers can be placed on the left side, the right side or both, depending on the layout. A light press on the drawer is enough to open it.

The towel rail is available in two lengths to also suit the bathroom space (31cm or 41cm). It is mounted on a pre-installed rail to the right or left of the washbasin.
