Polyrey's new Monochrom Black & White range: highly attractive, highly resistant laminate panels

Polyrey, an expert for more than 50 years in the design of decorative panels and laminate coverings, is expanding its collection with a new range: Monochrom Black & White. This novelty demonstrates the innovative capacity of this French manufacturer, offering architects, decorators and designers great freedom of expression around intense black and pure white. It joins Polyrey's already highly avant-garde and trendy collections.
Here, beyond a perfect and attractive aesthetic, the Monochrom Black & White range offers HPL (High Pressure Laminate) panels that are tough enough to withstand anything. 5 structure finishes are available in black and white, for a total of 10 new decors.
With its high final performance, Polyrey's Monochrom range is particularly suited to premium furniture and to the fitting out of high-end commercial spaces.
Monochrom Black & Withe, guaranteed resistance for a flawless aesthetic that is unique on the market
Specially developed for intensive use, Monochrom HPL laminates consist of 6 layers comprising 5 sheets of kraft paper (black or white) impregnated with thermosetting resin and a decor sheet B070 Blanc Megève or N005 Noir.
Offered in 307 x 132 cm formats with a thickness of 1,2 mm, Monochrom panels offer high resistance to scratches, impact, heat, cigarette burns and chemical or household products, in accordance with European standard EN438. These Monochrom Black and White creations are perfectly suited to food contact, which opens up a very wide range of applications in hotels, restaurants and institutional catering.
Made in France and PEFC-certified, the new Polyrey laminates in the Monochrom range come as 10 through-colored HPL panels.
In intense black or white, the colors are offered in 5 highly crafted surface structures, whose rendering is striking in its realism. These include the FA surfaces, a silky satin with a soft touch that lends purity and elegance to the finished piece, and BRIHG, with its mirror gloss for a luminous surface with multiple reflections.
The Monochrom range is completed by three exclusive structures that are unique on the market: ROCHE, worked with reliefs imitating stone for an authentic, mineral inspiration;
EPIMAT, which plays on the effects of wood and the bark of pine with narrow grooves for a very elegant look;
ALLIAGE, evoking a brushed metal spirit for contemporary creations with raw lines.
These colors, highly prized by specifiers, fitters and joiners, combined with the refined finishes of the Monochrom range, bring elegance and modernity, marked by sobriety, to projects.
Usable on the surface or on the edge, for vertical or horizontal applications, the laminates in the Monochrom range will quickly establish themselves in many projects: furniture, fittings, worktops, etc. Through-colored (thus avoiding visible edges, scratches and abrasion), they are particularly suited to premium furniture and high-end retail brands, and to the equipping of hotels, restaurants, reception venues and exhibition spaces thanks to their high-quality aesthetic reinforced by high resistance.
As with all Polyrey HPL ranges, this manufacturing process offers great versatility in use. Durable, it keeps its new look over time, even in the most demanding uses.
Monochrom, a range in line with Polyrey's tradition of quality
The launch of this new range enriches Polyrey's broad offering. Offering high-quality laminates, Polyrey develops accessible solutions suited to every use of laminate:
- Polyrey HPL, the high-pressure laminate combining versatility and resistance, available in standard, postformable, through-colored or metal versions.
- Panoprey, a melamine panel offering decorative quality as an economical alternative for large surfaces.
- Polyprey, the panel laminated with high-pressure laminate ensuring resistance and time savings.
- Reysipur, the thick self-supporting compact laminate, the decorative solution for highly demanding places, available with a black or white core.
- Polyrey Façades, an exterior compact for designer façades and an interior with improved comfort (external thermal insulation).
All Polyrey ranges are available in 9 surface finishes (wood, metal, stone, satin, gloss, rough, grainy, matt, etc.) and evolve with each collection for ever more creativity!
Polyrey, international laminate expert, responsible French manufacturer
With more than 50 years of expertise, Polyrey, a manufacturer of decorative panels and laminate coverings for interior fitting, puts all its expertise at the service of ever more high-performing and creative products, the result of increasingly responsible production.
Historically based in Baneuil, in the Dordogne (24), the French brand is now known and recognized throughout Europe, with a presence in France, Great Britain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal, offering great accessibility and availability as quickly as possible for all its customers.
In 2006 Polyrey joined the ITW group, within its subsidiary Wilsonart, a manufacturer of laminate coverings based in Temple (Texas, USA) with a worldwide presence. This affiliation enables significant synergies in product innovation, decor development and the pooling of logistics structures. Strengthened Research & Development, broader knowledge of the trade, and worldwide commercial presence and experience form the basis of a new momentum for Polyrey.
Committed to sustainable development from the outset, Polyrey works daily to make its manufacturing processes more responsible. Its 2 industrial sites (Couze and Ussel) are ISO 9001 and ISO14001 certified and managed according to the principle of Total Quality. All production complies with multiple standards and certifications, and all raw material comes from sustainably managed, PEFC-certified forests. Polyrey has also developed the plaster melamine panel, offering a good alternative to the use of wood, with better fire behavior.
The manufacturer uses no heavy metals, such as chromium, mercury or lead, nor toxic compounds based on antimony, barium, cadmium, selenium... and considerably reduces the methanol content of its products.
Finally, Polyrey is committed to preserving the environment by working toward better management of resources and discharges:
- The quantity of water drawn from the Dordogne has been divided by 10 in 15 years.
- Incinerated waste, producing steam, powers the presses.
- Water discharges are measured daily. At all control points (quantity, temperature, pH...), Polyrey is stricter than the DRIRE: in 10 years, nitrogen discharges have been divided by 19 and the phenol index by 24.
- Polyrey installed a volatile organic compound (VOC) treatment plant as early as 1997 to manage its air emissions. Finishing dust is filtered, collected in silos, then incinerated and thus recovered through energy recovery.
- To combat noise, Polyrey has installed enclosures around the machines and built a noise barrier wall outside, limiting noise nuisance.
- Waste sorting has been practiced for about ten years by all operators. 80 % of the waste produced is recovered through energy production or recycled via specialized channels: reuse of pallets, recycling of paper, cardboard and plastics, resale of scrap metal.
