Two new quartzites expand Cosentino's SENSA range

The Cosentino Group is adding two new exotic Brazilian quartzites to its Sensa by Cosentino® natural stone range. The two new colors, Taj Mahal and White Macaubas, join the Sensa Premium range and benefit from the exclusive Senguard NK stain protection treatment. In addition to granite, the Sensa range is therefore now expanding to include treated quartzite surfaces, offering an even wider choice and a selection of exceptional stones.

The two new surfaces are the first quartzites in the Sensa by Cosentino® range. Quartzite is a very hard metamorphic rock composed essentially of quartz. It is therefore the ideal alternative for anyone looking for a natural stone that is more durable and resistant than traditional marbles, while having a similar look. The colors of the new quartzites were carefully chosen, taking into account their composition and their resistance to stains once treated with Senguard NK, the revolutionary protection developed by Cosentino's research and development team to protect its natural stones.

Taj Mahal and White Macaubas both offer an excellent level of stain protection, including against acidic substances common in kitchens, and require no special daily care. Bonding to the surface of the stone, the Senguard NK stain protection is also UV-resistant, allowing use both indoors and outdoors, and lets the stone breathe while preserving its natural color. Certified by NSF, the new surfaces are safe for food contact.

How the Senguard NK protection of the Sensa® by Cosentino range works
A porous material absorbs any liquid by suction, thereby shortening its lifespan. The treatment of the Sensa® range modifies the surface tension of granite and makes it lower than that of the liquid, providing effective protection: liquid particles are thus repelled and not absorbed. This treatment penetrates the surface, bonds chemically and forms an invisible protection that allows the granites of the Sensa® range to breathe. Moreover, this formula, which is also UV-resistant, keeps colors from changing.

The Sensa® range represents a radically new offer in granite because its treatment provides protection that reduces staining of the material, which can thus keep its finest appearance over time.
